Noot visibility & access
Who can see a project, and how to narrow it without hiding it from its own team.
Visibility is set on the Noot, not on individual tasks. Everything inside a Noot — its tasks, files, meetings, calendar events and chat channel — follows the Noot's own audience.
The three settings
| Setting | Who can see it |
|---|---|
| Entire workspace | Everyone in your organization. |
| Specific teams & people | Only the teams and people you add. |
| Only invited people | Just the people you add, and the creator. |
Changing it
- 1Open the Noot and click the eye chip in its header — it reads "Workspace", "2 teams · 3 people" or "Private · 2".
- 2Pick a setting; for the narrower two, add the teams and people inline.
- 3Changes save immediately. The chip is only shown to people who can manage access.
Restricting hides it everywhere
A private Noot is genuinely invisible to people outside it — not just on the projects list, but in search, on the home screen, on the calendar, in reports, in exports, and to Hoot. Make sure the owner and every assignee is included, or they'll lose sight of their own work.
Note
An org-wide default for new Noots can be set in Org settings → Organization. Whoever creates a Noot can still change it per project.
