Files on a Noot
The project file library, tagging files to tasks and people, and task attachments.
The Files tab is a Noot's shared library — the material the whole project refers to, as opposed to a file attached to one specific task.
| Where | What it's for |
|---|---|
| Files tab | The project's shared reference material — specs, brand assets, contracts, exports. |
| Task attachment | A file that belongs to one piece of work and travels with it. |
Tagging
A file in the Files tab can be tagged to tasks and people, then filtered by those tags — so "everything relating to the migration" or "everything Priya owns" is one click, without duplicating the file.
- Each file has a Summary view for what it is and why it's here.
- Remove from this Noot takes it off the project.
Tip
For anything still being edited, add a link to the live document rather than uploading a copy — nobody then works from a stale export. Upload the file when it's final.
