For healthcare administration

Rotating shifts, careful records, no 9-to-5 assumptions.

Twelve-hour blocks that the availability checker, Autopilot and the presence dot all obey. A redaction pass over meeting text. An append-only log the database itself will not let anyone edit. Choose Healthcare Administration at setup and all three are queued.

A day on the tools

What changes, in the hours it actually changes.

Three moments from an ordinary week. Every one of them is a thing the product does, not a thing it could be configured to do one day.

01

19:00 — a night nurse is at work, and Noots knows it

The Shift-Based Scheduler replaces 9-to-5 logic with rotating clinical blocks, and the same resolver answers every question that depends on them: the availability checker offering a slot, Autopilot scheduling a task, and the presence dot next to a name. Someone on nights reads as working at 02:00, not away.

02

10:30 — an admin meeting mentions a patient

The PHI Redaction Engine runs as the first step of the meeting pipeline, the single point every capture path shares. The scrub covers the meeting record, the action items, the tasks the meeting created and the RAID entries written in flight — and an admin redaction log records the categories and counts that were caught.

03

Any time — the record cannot be quietly rewritten

The Compliance Audit Logger is append-only where it counts: the database itself refuses UPDATE and DELETE on the event table, so an inconvenient row cannot be edited away by anyone, including an administrator. Export the log as CSV or JSON whenever it is asked for.

Made for Healthcare Administration

The three that do the heavy lifting.

Choose this industry during setup and its tools are queued for you. Review the list, drop anything you don't want, and the workspace initialises with the rest already working — or install any one of them on its own, later, from the marketplace.

Queued at setup

PHI Redaction Engine

A deterministic scrub over meeting text, wired into the one pipeline step that every capture path runs through, with an admin log of what it caught.

  • Covers transcripts, summaries and action items
  • Also covers meeting-created task titles and RAID entries
  • Deterministic rules, not a model guessing
  • An admin redaction log of categories and counts
Queued at setup

Shift-Based Scheduler

Rotating 12-hour blocks in place of 9-to-5 logic — and one resolver, so availability, Autopilot scheduling and presence never disagree.

  • 12-hour rotating blocks replace 9-to-5 defaults
  • The availability checker honours them
  • Autopilot schedules against them
  • The presence dot is shift-aware, including overnight rotas
Queued at setup

Compliance Audit Logger

An append-only record of decisions, approvals and access events — enforced by the database, not by a policy someone has to remember.

  • The database refuses UPDATE and DELETE on the log
  • Decisions, approvals and access events captured
  • Export as CSV or JSON on demand
  • Also available to public-sector and finance workspaces
The shape of the work

How Healthcare Administration actually runs.

Each of these is a project in Noots — its own board, tab strip, meetings, calendar and members. They are not pre-built modules and we will not pretend they are: what the industry gives you is the right defaults around them.

01Rota & shift planning
02Service-line operations
03Policy & procedure updates
04Mandatory training & competencies
05Incident reporting & review
06Audit & inspection readiness
07Estates & capital projects
08Recruitment & onboarding
And everything else

These sit on top of the whole product.

  • Administrative meetings become owned action items without anyone taking minutes
  • Autopilot plans the programme and works around whoever is actually on shift
  • Chat, calls, mail and the calendar are in the same workspace as the work
  • Deleted items sit in a recoverable bin before they are purged
  • SAML/SCIM single sign-on, and two-factor authentication per person

What we don't claim

The honest edges.

  • Noots is not a certified system. We do not claim HIPAA compliance, SOC 2, ISO 27001 or any other certification, and no page on this site says otherwise.
  • Redaction runs shortly after a meeting is stored rather than before it is written, and no rule set catches every phrasing. Treat it as a strong control, not a guarantee.
  • Noots is built for administrative work — programmes, projects and coordination. It is not an EHR and holds no clinical record.
Questions

The ones buyers ask first.

Does Noots make us HIPAA compliant?
No, and we will not say otherwise. Noots holds no HIPAA, SOC 2 or ISO certification. The PHI Redaction Engine and the Compliance Audit Logger are controls you can point at during your own assessment; the assessment itself remains yours.
When does redaction happen?
It runs as the first step of the meeting pipeline, which is the choke point every capture path shares — the meeting record, the action items, the tasks the meeting created and the RAID entries written in flight. It runs shortly after the meeting is stored rather than before it is written, and no deterministic rule set catches every phrasing.
How do rotating shifts change the rest of the product?
They replace the 9-to-5 assumption everywhere it is used. The same resolver answers the availability checker, Autopilot's scheduling and the presence dot beside a person's name, so a nurse working an overnight block reads as working rather than away.
Can an administrator edit the compliance log?
No. The database refuses UPDATE and DELETE on the event table, so the log is append-only for every role including administrators. Events are not purged; retention is stated as policy rather than enforced by a job.
