Create or join a workspace

Start a fresh workspace or join an existing team, and what setup asks you.

A workspace is your organization inside Noots — its people, Noots, meetings, chat and settings all live together. Most people either create a new one or join one a teammate already set up.

Setting up a new workspace

Setup runs in four short steps: profile → workspace → industry → services. Nothing is created until the last button — you can go back through every step, and closing the tab leaves nothing behind.

  1. 1Profile — your name, photo, working hours and text size. All four sync to your Settings.
  2. 2Workspace — the organization's name, accent colour and (optionally) your company email domain.
  3. 3Industry — what your organization actually does. Picking one shows you a live preview of exactly what you would get: your starter projects, the tabs every project opens with, the apps in your launcher and the teams you start with. Every recommended extension is a ticked box you can untick right there. See Industries & onboarding.
  4. 4Services — which email, calendar and meeting platform your organization runs on. Nothing is connected here; it just means everyone's setup checklist points at the right thing instead of all three.
Nothing exists until the last step

The button on every step before the last says Continue, never Create. Your workspace, its starter projects, its teams and its extensions are all written in one go when you finish — so abandoning setup half-way leaves no half-built organization behind.

Joining an existing workspace

  • By invite — open the invite link or email and set your password.
  • By email domain — if an admin turned on domain-based join, anyone who signs up with your company's email domain can join or request to join. That control is on the Team plan and above.
Note

If you signed up and can't find your team's workspace, ask an admin to invite you directly, or check that you used the same email domain the workspace allows.
